Health and Safety and What I have used

Health and Safety

  • Ensure all work space is clean and clear of previous hair styling tools or makeup residue
  • place all work products out so all are visible
  • make sure everything used on the clients hair is clean beforehand and after
  • check for contraindications before working on the hair, some of these may include: head lice, dandruff, ringworm of the scalp and folliculitis.
  • when working with a client, never diagnose an issue; it is best to inform the client of what you see as a hair designer and advise them to see a doctor.
